Independent Association of Accredited Registrars (IAAR)
is an association of accredited management system registrars
operating in North America. The organization actively promotes
the establishment and maintenance of effective management systems
in North American companies through accredited registration.
A non-profit
organization, one of the objectives of the IAAR is to inform
interested parties about management system registration. This
web site provides information about the IAAR and the value
of accredited registration which may be of interest to registrars,
companies seeking registration and organizations developing
management assessment based programs.

| UKAS
has been alerted to a webpage on the internet from a certification body that appears to be trying to pass itself off in place of a genuine UKAS accredited certification body, and claiming that it is UKAS accredited. The webpage in question is from QA Certification, (http://www.qacertification.co.uk/home.asp). It appears to be trying to mimic the certification business run by Mr. Alf Duffield of QA International Certification Ltd, which is UKAS accredited. The genuine website can be located at http://www.qai.co.uk/.
UKAS can confirm that QA Certification is not, and has not been, accredited by UKAS. As you can see in the linked web page, QA Certification is also displaying unauthorised UKAS symbols. UKAS is in the process of taking action to prevent this unauthorised and improper use of these symbols. If anyone has any further evidence of the improper use of the UKAS symbol/certificates issued by this body claiming to be accredited by UKAS, we would welcome details.
